Michael Giacchino’s ‘The End of Oak Street’ Soundtrack Gets Collectible Vinyl Release

Film score and vinyl collectors are getting a new physical release from award-winning composer Michael Giacchino with the original motion picture soundtrack for The End of Oak Street. The soundtrack is being released by Made By Mutant Records in partnership with WaterTower Music.

Giacchino composed the music for the film, continuing a career that has included scores for major film, television and video game projects.

Made By Mutant Records will release the soundtrack as a 2x LP colored-vinyl set featuring original artwork by Nicholas Moegly. Preorders begin August 14. In addition to the vinyl edition, The End of Oak Street soundtrack is being released digitally.

Giacchino said “Working on The End of Oak Street has been an incredible experience. I’ve been a fan of David Robert Mitchell ever since seeing It Follows, so getting to collaborate with a filmmaker whose work consistently surprises and challenges audiences was a real privilege. David has a remarkable ability to build dread in a way that feels effortless, balancing quiet tension with moments that genuinely get under your skin. It’s a rare combination, and I’m grateful to have been a part of this one.”

The release expands Mutant’s growing catalog of collectible film and television soundtracks, which frequently combine physical music releases with artwork and packaging created specifically for collectors.

For soundtrack collectors, Giacchino’s involvement is likely to be a major draw. The composer has built a large body of work across film and television, making his physical soundtrack releases a regular part of the modern movie-music collecting market.

The End of Oak Street Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is available digitally, with the collectible vinyl edition available through Mutant.
