Josh Allen One-of-One National Treasures Rookie Patch Autograph Card Sells for Record $1.7 Million

A one-of-one Josh Allen rookie card has sold privately for $1.7 million, setting a new record for any card featuring the Buffalo Bills quarterback. Alt announced the sale of the 2018 Panini National Treasures Rookie Patch Autograph on August 6.

The card combines Allen’s on-card autograph with an NFL Shield patch from his rookie season. It is the only card of its kind and represents the highest level of rarity within the National Treasures rookie patch autograph format.

The $1.7 million transaction surpassed the previous record for a Josh Allen card, which Alt said stood at $1.35 million. Alt described the one-of-one Shield card as the centerpiece of Allen’s rookie-card class and one of the most coveted modern football cards.

The company said the sale reflects continued demand for high-end cards featuring elite quarterbacks, particularly rare rookie cards with autographs and premium memorabilia patches.

“A sale of this scale reflects where the high-end market is headed,” Alt CEO Leore Avidar said. “The best 1-of-1 rookie cards from era-defining players are being recognized as legitimate assets, and the market is responding accordingly.”

Alt did not disclose when the private transaction was completed or provide additional details about how the sale was arranged. The company operates a marketplace for high-end trading cards and also provides auctions, collection storage, cash advances and loans secured by cards.

At $1.7 million, the 2018 National Treasures Rookie Patch Autograph now stands as the most expensive Josh Allen card ever sold.
