Funko Core Collectibles Sales Rise 9% in Strong Second Quarter

Funko

Funko reported stronger sales during the second quarter of 2026, led by continued growth in its core collectibles business. Core Collectibles generated $171.6 million in net sales for the quarter ending June 30, an increase of 9 percent from $157.5 million during the same period last year.

The category accounted for more than 82 percent of Funko’s total quarterly sales.

Funko said demand was spread across theatrical entertainment, anime, gaming and sports. The company also pointed to rapid product releases connected to live cultural moments and the launch of POP! Mystery as contributors to its performance.

The results suggest Funko is continuing to concentrate on its most in-demand characters, franchises and collectible formats while reducing the number of products that do not perform as strongly.

Funko CEO Cynthia Williams said the company is improving its ability to identify where fan demand is developing and move more quickly to create products around those interests. She also said Funko is working with tighter product assortments and directing more resources toward fandoms, products and sales channels offering the strongest demand and return potential.

Funko’s total net sales increased 7.4 percent to $207.7 million, compared with $193.5 million in the second quarter of 2025.

Sales in the United States increased 3.4 percent to $121.8 million. European sales grew 19.4 percent to nearly $69 million, while sales in other international markets declined 5.1 percent to $16.9 million.

Loungefly sales declined 1.7 percent to $31.3 million. Funko said it plans to reduce Loungefly’s number of individual products and focus the assortment on merchandise with stronger demand and return potential.

The company reported net income of $15.4 million for the quarter, compared with a net loss of $40.5 million during the same period last year. Funko also reported a record gross margin of 56.6 percent, although the quarter included a $25.4 million benefit connected to expected tariff refunds and the release of previously accrued tariffs.

Inventory totaled $88.8 million at the end of June, up from $83.1 million at the end of 2025. Funko reiterated its expectation that full-year net sales will be flat to 3 percent higher than in 2025. The company said its outlook reflects expected continued growth in Core Collectibles.
