Seattle Mariners Giving Away Jimothy Rookie Cards With Chase Versions

The Seattle Mariners are turning Jimothy into a baseball card collectible during a special promotion at T-Mobile Park.
Jimothy is a raccoon from Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood who became a viral sensation because of his small, rounded appearance and distinctive walk. The Mariners have since embraced him as an unofficial local mascot, including an appearance in the team’s in-game salmon race.
The first 20,000 fans attending the Mariners game on Wednesday, August 5, will receive an exclusive Jimothy Rookie Card presented by Farmers Insurance.
The giveaway will include a standard version along with several limited chase cards randomly distributed among fans.
The chase lineup includes a one-of-one Gold card, a Silver card limited to 100 copies, a Shiny Blue card limited to 500 and a numbered version limited to 2,000.
The inclusion of multiple numbered parallels gives the promotion a structure similar to a traditional trading card release, with fans opening their giveaway cards to see whether they received one of the rarer versions.
The Mariners have also offered a Jimothy Night T-shirt through a separate special ticket package, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Ballard Food Bank.
The team notes that a general ticket for the August 5 game does not include the Jimothy Night T-shirt. Fans must purchase the designated special ticket offer to receive the shirt.
The Rookie Card giveaway, however, is available to the first 20,000 fans entering T-Mobile Park for the game.
