Five Michael Jordan Rookie Cards Pulled During Logan Paul and Ken Goldin Box Break

Five Michael Jordan rookie cards were pulled during a live box break featuring Logan Paul and Goldin founder Ken Goldin.

Goldin announced the result after the pair opened a box of 1986-87 Fleer Basketball during a livestream carried on eBay Live and Paul’s YouTube channel.

“Not one, not two, not three, not four but FIVE Michael Jordan Rookie Cards pulled TONIGHT!” Goldin wrote.

The 1986-87 Fleer Basketball release is best known for Michael Jordan’s No. 57 rookie card. Pulling five examples from a single box gave the livestream one of its biggest results, although Goldin did not announce the condition or potential grades of the cards.

The box opening was part of the “Logan Paul & Ken Goldin National Box Break Experience,” which was presented through Goldin’s eBay Live channel and included both basketball and Pokémon collectibles.

Their eventual market value will depend heavily on condition, centering, surface quality and the grades they receive if submitted for certification.

Even cards pulled directly from unopened vintage packs are not guaranteed to earn high grades. Printing quality, centering and other manufacturing issues can affect a card before the pack is opened.

The Michael Jordan cards were only one part of the night’s collectibles activity. Paul also opened a first-edition Pokémon box and peeled a rare Pokémon pre-production sheet during the same livestream.

Goldin’s announcement did not specify whether the Michael Jordan rookie cards will be graded, retained or offered for sell.
