CGC Announces Nicolas Cage Signing for Comics and Trading Cards

Nicolas Cage Signed Comics

CGC has announced an official private signing with Nicolas Cage, giving collectors an opportunity to submit comic books and trading cards for the actor’s autograph.

The signing is being organized through the CGC Signature Series in partnership with Signet Collectibles and New York Comic Con. CGC must receive U.S. submissions by September 12, 2026, while international collectors are advised to submit two weeks earlier to allow additional delivery time.

Cage is known to comic collectors for both his acting roles and his longtime interest in the medium. He took his stage name from Marvel character Luke Cage and has appeared as Johnny Blaze in the two Ghost Rider movies, Big Daddy in Kick-Ass and Spider-Man Noir in the animated Spider-Verse films and live action TV series.

Collectors can submit comics for a standard Cage signature for $310 per item. A signature accompanied by a character name or personalization costs $410, while an inscription of up to eight words costs $510. Each option includes grading and encapsulation with CGC’s yellow Signature Series label.

The fee for trading card submissions is $290 per card. That option includes Cage’s signature, CGC grading and encapsulation with the Signature Series label.

CGC estimates a six-week turnaround after the items are signed. Comic submissions that also receive CGC pressing have an estimated eight-week turnaround and require an additional pressing fee.

Previously graded CGC comics may also be submitted. CGC will remove a certified book from its existing holder for an additional $5, although the company warns that the collectible must be graded again and is not guaranteed to receive the same grade.

Collectors submitting comics must place ungraded books in window bags. Packages containing either comics or cards must have “NC” written on every side of the shipping box so CGC can route them to the correct signing event.

Items other than comics and cards may be submitted through Signet Collectibles, CGC’s official send-in partner for the event.

The Nicolas Cage signing gives collectors several possible choices, including Ghost Rider, Kick-Ass, Spider-Man Noir and Luke Cage-related comics, along with entertainment trading cards featuring the actor and his film roles.
