Spin Master Plans Bigger Push Into Collectibles and Trading Cards After Toy Sales Rise

Spin Master says collectibles and strategic trading cards will be an important part of its growth plans during the second half of 2026.
The company highlighted the category while reporting stronger second-quarter toy sales led by core brands including PAW Patrol and Monster Jam.
Spin Master CEO Christina Miller said the company is focused on investing in new products, expanding into collectibles and strategic trading cards, and bringing its brands to audiences through stores, entertainment and digital platforms.
The financial release did not identify specific upcoming trading card products, collectible brands or release dates. It does, however, show that Spin Master views collectibles as a growth area alongside its established toy, entertainment and gaming businesses.
Spin Master’s toy revenue reached $361.1 million during the three months ending June 30, an increase of 12 percent from $322.3 million during the same quarter last year. Toy gross product sales increased 11.5 percent to $413.7 million.
The largest gains came from the company’s Preschool, Infant & Toddler and Plush category, where sales increased 13.3 percent to $209.6 million.
Sales in Activities, Games & Puzzles and Dolls & Interactive rose 20.2 percent to $106.1 million. The Wheels & Action category declined 3 percent to $86.1 million, while Outdoor sales increased 33.7 percent to $11.9 million.
Spin Master said the overall rise in toy sales was driven primarily by shipments ahead of the upcoming theatrical release of PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie. The company also noted that sales during the comparable quarter in 2025 were affected by slower orders from U.S. retailers amid uncertainty surrounding global tariff policies.
PAW Patrol and Monster Jam were identified as two of the core brands contributing to the company’s performance. Both properties have produced extensive toy lines, including vehicles, figures and playsets.
Across all of its businesses, Spin Master reported second-quarter revenue of $436.4 million, up 8.9 percent from the previous year. The company recorded net income of $29.7 million, compared with a net loss of $46.5 million during the second quarter of 2025.
Spin Master maintained its full-year outlook, forecasting revenue ranging from stable performance to low single-digit growth compared with 2025.
Although the earnings release offered few details about the company’s planned collectibles and trading card expansion, Miller’s comments indicate that the category will receive increased attention as Spin Master looks for additional ways to develop its brands beyond traditional toys.
