CGC Announces 2026 Card Registry Award Winners

CGC has announced the winners of its 2026 Cards Registry Awards, recognizing standout collections across Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, non-sports cards and sports cards.

The winning sets were selected by a panel of judges from entries submitted by CGC Cards Registry participants. The Registry allows collectors to organize their CGC-graded cards into competitive sets and compare them with other collections.

Three Pokémon collections were selected among the trading card game winners.

Shadowless Joe’s Pokémon Base Set Shadowless Master Set earned recognition after accumulating more than 700,000 Registry points. CGC said the collection consists primarily of cards graded CGC Gem Mint 10 and CGC Pristine 10, including high-grade holographic cards from the 1999 Shadowless Base Set.

Pokesin won for a Pokémon Fossil 1st Edition Master Set that has been assembled since 2022. Highlights include first-edition Articuno, Dragonite and Gengar cards graded CGC Pristine 10.

Bozoo10 received an award for a Japanese Charizard Character Set containing more than 80 cards. CGC highlighted a 2022 Japanese VSTAR Universe Charizard V Special Art Rare graded CGC Pristine 10 among the collection’s notable pieces.

The Magic: The Gathering award went to dubba for a Revised Edition Main Set. The collection was assembled over approximately one year and includes numerous CGC Gem Mint 10 and Pristine 10 cards, including Kird Ape and Sol Ring.

Toy house earned the non-sports card award for a 1995 Fleer Marvel Metal Inaugural Edition Master Set.

The 313-card set features Marvel heroes and villains with metallic and early computer-generated artwork. CGC said the winning collection has accumulated more than 400,000 Registry points and includes Doom 2099 and Silver Surfer cards graded CGC Gem Mint 10.

Five sports card collections were also selected.

BODA91 won for a high-grade 1987-88 Fleer Basketball set featuring cards of players including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dominique Wilkins and John Paxson.

The Mark Price Player Set assembled by tspsellers focuses on autographs and cards containing game-worn materials. CGC highlighted a 2021-22 Panini Spectra Illustrious Legends Signatures card and a 2013-14 National Treasures Night Moves autograph relic.

A 2023 Panini Prizm WNBA collection assembled by rjr2167 was recognized for its high-grade and Top Pop cards. Featured examples include Brittney Sykes, Elizabeth Williams and Jordan Horston cards graded CGC Pristine 10.

Vintage Card Junkie received an award for a Ken Griffey Jr. Player Set filled with CGC Gem Mint 10, Pristine 10 and Top Pop examples. Among the cards highlighted by CGC were Griffey’s 1989 Upper Deck card and a 2005 Topps Opening Day issue.

The final sports card winner was THoma315’s Josh Allen Player Set. The top-ranked collection has been assembled since 2023 and includes high-grade cards such as a 2022 Panini Absolute Glass card graded CGC Pristine 10.

The CGC Cards Registry Awards are open to all Registry participants. Collectors can join for free, register eligible CGC-graded cards and create competitive sets covering trading card games, non-sports releases and sports cards.
