PSA Ends On-Site Express Grading at The National After Overwhelming Demand

PSA has stopped accepting submissions for its On-Site Express grading service at the 2026 National Sports Collectors Convention after receiving what the company described as overwhelming demand.

The company announced the service change on the opening day of The National, telling collectors that On-Site Express was no longer available. PSA said higher service levels beginning with On-Site Super Express remained open.

Collectors using On-Site Super Express can submit trading cards for $399 per card. The service has a maximum insured value of $5,000 and an estimated next-day turnaround. Submissions are accepted Wednesday through Saturday until noon, subject to availability and any additional changes made during the convention.

PSA is also offering faster and higher-value on-site grading tiers, including Walk-Through, Regular Premium, Premium, Super Premium, Premium Plus and Premium Elite. Prices and turnaround times vary according to the service level and the insured value of the card.

The National runs from July 29 through August 2 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. PSA’s convention presence includes on-site grading, vault submissions, eBay consignment services and opportunities for collectors to receive offers on eligible PSA-graded cards.

The early closure of On-Site Express follows PSA’s recent disclosure that its active grading backlog had increased to 12.4 million units. The company has attributed the broader increase to high submission volume, convention-season demand and packages arriving during an eligibility window following earlier service-tier restrictions.

Collectors planning to submit cards at The National should review PSA’s event pricing page before visiting the booth, as available services may continue to change based on capacity.
