Target Hosting LEGO Pokémon Event With Branded Bags on August 1

Target is holding an in-store LEGO Pokémon event on August 1 to mark the arrival of the new building-set collection.
The event will run from noon to 4 PM at most Target stores. Shoppers will be able to browse the new LEGO Pokémon SMART PLAY sets and receive a branded bag with a qualifying purchase while supplies last.
The promotional bag gives the event an added collectible element for Pokémon and LEGO fans, although Target does not state how many bags will be available or whether every participating store will receive the same quantity.
Target’s event page highlights seven LEGO Pokémon sets connected to the launch.
The lineup includes the $69.99 Mewtwo’s Lab Break SMART PLAY set, the $69.99 Munchlax adult building set and the $109.99 Arcanine set.
Additional releases include Cubone and Gengar’s Spooky Showdown for $89.99 and the Charizard vs. Jolteon Ultimate Battle set for $119.99. Both are part of the LEGO Pokémon SMART PLAY range.
The collection also includes an Eevee building set listed at $49.99 and a larger Pikachu and Poké Ball set priced at $199.99.
Target describes the August 1 promotion as a “Saturday Spotlight” event and tells shoppers, “You’re the Trainer now.” The retailer advises customers to check whether their local store is participating before attending.
The LEGO Pokémon event will take place from noon to 4 PM on August 1 at most Target locations. The branded bags will be distributed with purchases only while supplies remain.
