Masters of the Universe Amazon Exclusive SteelBook Includes Collectible Mini-Comic

Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Home Entertainment have announced the home video release of Masters of the Universe, with an Amazon-exclusive edition offering additional appeal for physical media and franchise collectors.

The movie will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on October 20, 2026. An Amazon-exclusive package will include SteelBook packaging, 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray copies of the film, and a collectible mini-comic book.

The SteelBook edition is available to pre-order through Amazon alongside the standard 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray releases.

Masters of the Universe stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, who returns to Eternia after 15 years and finds the world under the control of Skeletor, played by Jared Leto. Adam joins Teela, played by Camila Mendes, and Duncan, also known as Man-At-Arms, played by Idris Elba, as he embraces his destiny as He-Man.

The cast also includes Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson and Kristen Wiig.

The film was released theatrically on June 5, 2026, and grossed $113 million internationally, according to the announcement.

The 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray editions will include bonus features such as a behind-the-scenes promotional gallery and Masters of Light: Skies of Eternia Drone Spectacle.

The movie was directed by Travis Knight and written by Chris Butler, Aaron Nee, Adam Nee and Dave Callaham. Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Robbie Brenner and DeVon Franklin served as producers.

The Amazon-exclusive SteelBook stands out as the most distinctive version of the home release. In addition to the metal packaging, the inclusion of a mini-comic connects the edition directly to the comic book and toy history surrounding the Masters of the Universe franchise.

The standard and exclusive editions are scheduled to arrive October 20.
