LeBron James’ First 76ers Card Sets NBA Topps NOW Record With 211,627 Copies

LeBron James’ first trading card as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers finished with a print run of 211,627 copies, making it the highest-selling NBA Topps NOW card released to date.
Topps announced the final total after the ordering window closed, saying the card surpassed the previous NBA Topps NOW records held by Cooper Flagg and OG Anunoby.
The release, identified as 2026-27 NBA Topps NOW Card OS03, was available from July 24 through July 26. It was sold as a print-on-demand card, meaning Topps produced the base version according to the number ordered during the limited sales window.
The final print run more than doubled the 100,000-copy milestone the card reached during its first days on sale.
As CollectiblesNews.com previously reported, passing 100,000 copies unlocked additional Chrome parallels, including cards numbered to 25, 10 and 5, along with a one-of-one SuperFractor.
The finished total of 211,627 qualified the release for Chrome parallels numbered to 99, 50, 25, 10 and 5, as well as a one-of-one SuperFractor. Topps’ product page also lists a one-of-one autograph redemption among the possible cards included with orders.
The autograph was a central part of the original promotion. Topps presented the release as James’ first official 76ers trading card and said one collector who ordered the base card would receive the one-of-one autographed version.
James’ move to Philadelphia and the start of his 24th NBA season helped turn the release into an immediate collecting event. The card was priced at $11.99 for a single copy, with larger quantity options offered during the sales period.
Topps NOW cards usually commemorate major sports moments shortly after they happen, with the final number produced determined by collector demand. In this case, more than 211,000 orders made James’ first 76ers card the largest NBA release in the program’s history.
