NIGO and G-SHOCK Launch Souvenir Collection With Original Character Figures and Apparel

NIGO: G-SHOCK SOUVENIR COLLECTION

NIGO and G-SHOCK are turning four original watch-inspired characters into a new collectible merchandise line.

Casio America announced the NIGO: G-SHOCK Souvenir Collection, an original line built around characters created by designer NIGO for G-SHOCK. The collection launched July 22 exclusively through the Casio Online Store.

The line features four original characters, each inspired by a different G-SHOCK model from the brand’s history. GORO, shown in pink, is based on the original 1983 DW-5000/5600 square design. ROCK, shown in green, is inspired by the 1995 DW-6900. WANG-TENG, shown in orange, is tied to the 2010 GA-110. DUNO, shown in blue, is based on the 2019 GA-2100.

The collection includes character figures, T-shirts, stickers and keychains. Casio is positioning the release as a souvenir-style merchandise drop rather than just another watch collaboration, giving G-SHOCK fans a way to collect the characters separately from the watches that inspired them.

That makes the project different from many traditional G-SHOCK releases. Instead of focusing only on a limited-edition watch, the NIGO collaboration gives the brand its own character universe. Each figure connects back to a recognizable G-SHOCK silhouette, color and era, turning the models into collectible mascots.

NIGO said G-SHOCK has long been a part of street culture and described the characters as a way to express the brand’s personality and history. Casio said the collection reflects G-SHOCK’s ongoing connection to fashion, design and youth culture.

The most interesting items may be the figures. They bring the four G-SHOCK characters into physical form and could appeal to both designer toy collectors and fans of the watch brand. The apparel and accessories give the release a broader lifestyle angle, but the character figures are the clearest collectible pieces in the drop.

The project also builds on NIGO’s long-running influence in streetwear and pop culture. His work with character design, fashion and collectibles makes him a natural fit for a G-SHOCK release that is more about identity and visual storytelling than watch specs alone.
