Citizen Reveals Limited-Edition Spider-Man Watch With Original Adam Kubert Artwork

Citizen is giving Spider-Man fans a new limited-edition collectible ahead of Spider-Man Day.
The watchmaker unveiled a new Marvel collaboration featuring a limited-edition Spider-Man timepiece with original artwork created for Citizen by Marvel comics illustrator Adam Kubert. The release is inspired by Spider-Man’s comic-book world and is limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide.
The watch is built around an original dial composition by Kubert, whose Marvel work has made him one of the most recognizable modern Spider-Man artists. Citizen said Kubert created the design exclusively for this release, translating Spider-Man’s movement and comic-panel energy into the watch format.
The dial features an embossed Spider-Man swinging through a stylized cityscape, with luminous web detailing meant to add depth to the scene. Kubert said he wanted the artwork to capture the energy and movement that make Spider-Man instantly recognizable while keeping the design rooted in the visual language of comics.
Citizen also included smaller fan details across the watch. The classic “THWIP” sound effect from Spider-Man’s web-slinging appears on both the dial and the caseback, turning one of the character’s most familiar comic-book touches into a hidden collectible element.
The watch comes in a 43mm gray ion-plated stainless steel case and bracelet. It uses a three-hand movement and includes a date display. Citizen said the release also comes with a matching collectible pin designed to complete the collector experience.
The timing is intentional. Citizen announced the watch ahead of Spider-Man Day on August 1 and as interest builds around Spider-Man’s return to theaters. The company described the collaboration as part of the growing intersection of storytelling, collectible culture and watchmaking.
The release also arrives during a milestone year for Citizen, which is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its Eco-Drive technology. Citizen has used licensed character collaborations as part of its broader push into fan-focused watches, including previous Disney, Marvel and Star Wars designs.
