GameStop Joins Uber Eats for Video Games, Collectibles and Electronics Delivery

GameStop products are now available through Uber Eats. Uber Technologies and GameStop just announced a new partnership bringing GameStop to the Uber Eats marketplace. Customers can now order video games, gaming consoles, accessories, collectibles and more from GameStop locations nationwide for scheduled or on-demand delivery.

The move adds one of the country’s largest gaming retailers to Uber Eats as the delivery platform continues expanding beyond restaurants. Uber Eats said its marketplace now includes thousands of storefronts across categories such as grocery, convenience, beauty, home improvement, office supplies, pet supplies, electronics and more.

Hashim Amin, Head of Grocery and Retail for Uber in North America, said consumers increasingly expect gaming essentials and collectibles to be available on demand. He pointed to examples such as replacing a controller before game night, picking up a new game release on launch day or grabbing a last-minute gift.

Customers can find GameStop in the Uber Eats app by opening the Retail or Electronics category, searching for GameStop, browsing available gaming and electronics products, choosing a delivery time and tracking the order in real time.

For collectors, the announcement is notable because GameStop’s assortment includes trading cards and collectibles, along with video games, consoles and accessories. The partnership gives customers another way to access those items without visiting a store, depending on local availability through Uber Eats.

GameStop describes itself as a retailer of video games, trading cards and collectibles. Uber said the addition strengthens its growing gaming and electronics selection while giving customers access to another retailer through the speed and convenience of Uber delivery.
