NVIDIA Launches Free GeForce Trading Cards Series 1

NVIDIA is turning its GeForce history into trading cards.
The company recently announced GeForce Trading Cards: Series 1, introducing a free collection built around major moments from the history of GeForce PC gaming. The first series includes 14 possible designs featuring iconic GPUs, classic demos, games and callbacks to key moments for GeForce fans.
NVIDIA said the cards are meant to celebrate the memories many PC gamers have with their first graphics card, a favorite game, a LAN party, a tech demo or the upgrade that changed how a game looked and played. The set connects those personal gaming memories with NVIDIA’s hardware history.
Series 1 includes cards inspired by NV1, NVIDIA’s first mainstream multimedia processor from 1995, and GeForce 256, which NVIDIA describes as the world’s first GPU. The set also includes GeForce 3, which brought programmable vertex and pixel shaders to GeForce gamers, and the GeForce 7800 GTX, a flagship from the GeForce 7 Series era.
The lineup also looks at later GeForce history. NVIDIA lists the GeForce 10 Series and GTX 1080 as part of the set, along with cards tied to classic real-time demos including Bubble, Chameleon and Medusa. Those demos were used to show what new GeForce hardware could render in real time.
Gaming is also part of the checklist. Series 1 includes cards inspired by NVIDIA’s “The Way It’s Meant To Be Played” program, with nods to Unreal Tournament 2004 and Borderlands. The set also includes the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition, connecting the RTX era with Cyberpunk 2077 and Night City. NVIDIA also included a checklist card as a direct nod to collector culture.
NVIDIA said the cards will be distributed directly to the community through Summer of RTX giveaways on GeForce social channels. They will also be available at select summer gaming shows and community events, including Bilibili World 2026, QuakeCon 2026 and gamescom 2026.
At in-person events, NVIDIA said fans should visit its booths and partner booths, look for GeForce Jacob, and watch GeForce social channels for giveaway opportunities. The company said the path to a pack starts with the question: which GeForce graphics card and game started it all for you?
With only 14 possible designs in Series 1 and distribution tied to giveaways, social channels and gaming events, the cards could become a watched item among PC gaming fans, NVIDIA collectors and anyone who follows the growing crossover between tech nostalgia and physical collectibles.
