KAWS x MLB Collection Revealed by Fanatics and Complex

Fanatics and Complex are teaming up with KAWS, Major League Baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the New York Yankees for a new limited-edition collection that combines baseball, art, apparel, and trading cards.

The KAWS x MLB Collection was announced July 8, 2026. The release is tied to the Dodgers and Yankees three-game series at Yankee Stadium from July 17 through July 19, 2026.

The collection was designed by KAWS and reimagines Dodgers and Yankees iconography through the artist’s signature “XX” motif and COMPANION character. Fanatics and Complex described the release as a crossover moment connecting sport, art, and pop culture.

The merchandise lineup includes Nike jerseys, T-shirts, hoodies, and Nike fitted and snapback caps. Each piece incorporates KAWS’ reinterpretation of official team marks with his “XX” design. The collection also includes baseball sporting goods, with the COMPANION character appearing on Rawlings baseballs and Marucci bats.

For collectors, the Topps trading cards may be one of the most watched parts of the release. The collection includes a limited run of Topps cards featuring KAWS’ reinterpretation of Dodgers and Yankees iconography, along with his COMPANION and “XX” motif. The cards are produced in limited quantities and will include special parallel editions and rare, randomly inserted KAWS autographs.

The collection will debut in person at Fanatics Fest in New York City from July 16 through July 19. It will also be available at Yankees stadium team stores on July 16 and Dodgers stadium team stores on July 31.

The full collection, including the Topps trading cards, is scheduled for a global online launch on July 20 through Complex.com, the Complex App, Fanatics.com, MLBShop.com, the MLB Flagship Store in New York City, Nike.com, Nike stores, and select Dodgers and Yankees team stores.

KAWS is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, design, murals, graphic work, and large-scale sculpture. The release notes that his work often draws from pop culture animation and iconography, and that his collaborations with global brands have made his imagery sought after by collectors inside and outside the art world.
