Gundam, Godzilla and Tamagotchi Lead Bandai Namco’s SDCC 2026 Plans

Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America is returning to San Diego Comic-Con 2026 with exhibits, exclusives, workshops, free giveaways, panels, and product showcases tied to some of its biggest collector brands.

The company announced that fans attending the show in San Diego can expect displays and activations for Tamagotchi, TAMASHII NATIONS, GUNDAM, Godzilla, Dragon Ball, Naruto, and other properties. Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America said its Comic-Con presence will include immersive exhibits, photo opportunities, hands-on workshops, event exclusives, and new product reveals.

TAMASHII NATIONS will be at Booth #3329 with event exclusives and displays featuring upcoming and newly released figures from anime, feature films, and more. The booth will also include free giveaways, gifts with purchase, and photo opportunities with statues. Event exclusives will be available for preorder and event pickup, with limited quantities also planned for walk-up purchases. Select items from TAMASHII NATIONS STORE NEW YORK will also be available at the booth.

Tamagotchi and Godzilla will share the spotlight at Booth #3345. Tamagotchi will celebrate 30 years of connection and play with a lineup of collectibles and devices, including nostalgic and limited-edition products. The celebration will also continue during a panel on July 24 at 11 a.m. in Room 25ABC.

The Godzilla booth will include trivia challenges and a roar contest, with prizes available for fans. Attendees can also pick up free Godzilla collectible pins in eight styles of varying rarity, tied to the release of Bandai’s new Godziburst action figures. The booth will also include an Escape Godzilla photo experience with a free 4×6 keepsake print. Fans will be able to shop Godziburst, a Godzilla Scramble event exclusive, and other officially licensed merchandise.

The GUNDAM booth, Booth #3829, will highlight GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, a newly announced video game title. Bandai Namco will also reveal a new Gundam series during the “GUNDAM Showcase 2026” panel on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Room 6BCF. The booth will feature the latest Gundam products from the Bandai Namco Group, including items from the new series, photo opportunities with GUNPLA-kun and Gundam statues, event-exclusive model kits, action figures, merchandise, and free swag.

Comic-Con attendees will also be able to take part in a free Gundam workshop in the Mezzanine, beginning daily 30 minutes after the show opens. Participants can build a complimentary GUNPLA model kit and take it home, while supplies last.

Bandai Namco also listed several panels and activations for the show. “GUNDAM Showcase 2026” will cover updates on Gundam titles for 2026 and future developments in North America. Attendees will receive a Gundam swag bag while supplies last. “30 Years of Tamagotchi!” will celebrate the Tamagotchi anniversary with David Edmundson, Tara Badie, Tanya Sexton, Anita Komatsu, and Monako Kuriiwa. “Tamashii Nations Unveiled – S.H.Figuarts Exclusive Panel” will include product reveals, new announcements, upcoming releases from Japan, and a giveaway item for attendees.

Godzilla will also appear before Preview Night at GameStop in Mission Valley. The meet-and-greet is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, from 11 AM to 3 PM, with scheduled breaks of up to 30 minutes. Guests can take photos with Godzilla, receive a free promotional button, and shop officially licensed Godzilla merchandise, including Bandai’s new Godziburst and Godzilla Scramble figure lines, along with a first-to-market Glow-in-the-Dark Burning Godzilla action figure.

Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America said it is the manufacturer and master toy licensee for brands including Gundam, Tamagotchi, Dragon Ball, Anime Heroes, Tamashii Nations, Bandai Hobby, and MegaHouse. The company is also the official U.S. distributor for Mr. Hobby, nanoblock, and official Studio Ghibli merchandise.
