Mattel Bringing New Hot Wheels Collectibles to San Diego Comic-Con 2026

KPop Demon Hunters Hot Wheels

Mattel is rolling into San Diego Comic-Con 2026 with three new Hot Wheels collectibles tied to some major entertainment franchises.

The new releases come from Mattel Creations and will be available first at San Diego Comic-Con. Fans can find them at Mattel’s booth, #2945, at the San Diego Convention Center from July 23 through July 26, 2026. The products will also be available at the Mattel merchandise booth and on MattelCreations.com beginning Thursday, July 23.

Mattel is calling the new lineup “Fandom in the Fast Lane.” The collection includes Hot Wheels releases inspired by Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters and Stranger Things, along with Paramount Pictures’ Top Gun. Each item connects Hot Wheels die-cast collecting with pop culture, entertainment, and fan-driven storytelling.

The Hot Wheels KPop Demon Hunters Porsche 911 GT3 R will have a suggested retail price of $30. The 1:64 scale die-cast Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) features Real Riders wheels and a design inspired by Derpy Tiger from Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters. The deco includes blue fur, tiger stripes, and white teeth on the grille.

The Hot Wheels Stranger Things 10th Anniversary Hawkins Van will have a suggested retail price of $40. The diorama is based on the van flip scene from the first season of Stranger Things. It includes an all-die-cast 1983 Chevy Van with Real Riders wheels, Hawkins Power and Light deco, and plastic mini figures. The release also connects to the 10th anniversary and final season of the Netflix series.

The Hot Wheels Top Gun 40th Anniversary Set will have a suggested retail price of $35. The collectible features Maverick and Goose’s F-14 Tomcat inverted over an enemy “MiG-28.” The set includes break frame packaging with a tribute to Goose’s cockpit photo and displays both die-cast fighter jets in the inverted position.

Nick Karamanos, Senior Vice President, Action Figures, Preschool & In-Licensing at Mattel, said San Diego Comic-Con is a fitting place to celebrate the fandoms behind pop culture. He said the collaborations capture the energy and spirit of each title while giving fans something made to be held onto for years.

Hot Wheels launched in 1968 as a die-cast car line and has since grown into one of Mattel’s most recognizable brands. Mattel said the brand continues to expand through collaborations across entertainment, gaming, fashion, sports, and automotive culture.

Mattel was founded in 1945 and owns a portfolio that includes Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, American Girl, Thomas & Friends, UNO, Masters of the Universe, Matchbox, Monster High, Polly Pocket, and other owned or licensed properties.
